Orile Agege LCDA Begins Distribution of Food Palliatives at 50% price

The Orile Agege LCDA in Lagos State today Monday 21st of August 2023 began the distribution of food palliatives to residents across the wards of the LCDA by offering a tuber of yam, rice, garri and beans at half the official market price.

Our correspondents visited some of the ward locations across the LCDA and reported that residents who trooped out in numbers to purchase the items at 50% less, poured encomium and prayers on the chairman of the LCDA, Pastor Johnson Sunday Babatunde for his impactful administration which has made life livable for residents since his assumption into office.

Recall that following the removal of fuel subsidy, the federal government had announced series of palliatives and relief measures to cushion the economic effect of fuel subsidy on the citizenry to be distributed by the states governments. The need for palliatives has made citizens to demand for local government council administrations in the country to also play their part in ameliorating the economic hardship.

It is in hearkening to this call of national and humanitarian duty that the Orile Agege LCDA Administration in Lagos State of Pastor Johnson Sunday Babatunde kicked off its own palliatives by offering residents with proof of residential address in the LCDA foodstuffs at 50% the price.

Some of the residents who spoke to our corespondents, while commending Pastor Babatunde Johnson for being a pacesetter in the distribution of the palliatives, equally called on other local government council administrations to take a cue from this lofty initiative to bring succour to the masses.
