**CAC Approves New Board of Trustees, Chairman for CDHR; Issues New Certificate**


The Committee for the Defence of Human Rights (CDHR) is pleased to announce that the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has formally approved the appointment of a new Board of Trustees (BoT) and Chairman for the organization. This approval marks a significant milestone in strengthening the institutional framework and governance of the CDHR.


Following due process and compliance with all regulatory requirements, the CAC has also issued a new certificate reflecting the updated leadership structure of the organization.


The newly approved Board of Trustees is composed of distinguished professionals and longstanding advocates for human rights, namely:


* Barr. Olasupo Ojo – Chairman

* Femi Falana, SAN

* Prof. Lucky Akurese

* Gbenga Awosode, Esq.

* Debo Adeniran – Secretary


The CDHR expresses confidence in the capacity, integrity, and commitment of the newly constituted Board to advance the organization’s mission of promoting, protecting, and defending human rights in Nigeria.


This development reinforces CDHR’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and adherence to statutory regulations as it continues its work in advocating for justice, rule of law, and democratic governance.
